Dearest friends of BEM,
As we are facing unprecedented times and the pandemic continues, I hope you and your family are healthy and staying safe. In better times, many of us would have spent most of these days on the mission field or we would be gathering with loved ones to celebrate the holidays and enjoying springtime traditions. Instead, our gatherings have been replaced by social distancing and connecting with family and friends via phone calls, video chat or zoom, looking forward to the time when we can be together again.
My only word to you today would be if you are a believer to stay strong in the Lord.
We need to remain strong regarding God’s truth. Then we’ll know what’s true and what’s not and be willing to take a stand for Him, regardless of the consequences. Genuine convictions are unaffected by the times, the values of the culture, or the popularity of current ideas. Christian beliefs aren’t always popular, and defending them can be uncomfortable. But remember that the Lord promises to be with us. Keep obeying the laws to keep yourself safe and those around you. Doing otherwise would not be wise: it would instead be foolish.
As it stands we would very much appreciate your much needed additional support to our work on the mission field. Food for both adults and children is needed. Formulas for malnourished babies is crucial and the hospital project could truly use your generosity. Would you please consider making a donation to BEM in these dark days? We thank you in advance for your efforts.
We are praying for you as you pray for us.
