Transformation from Death to Life
Exactly one month after the devastating earthquake, the Haitian people are showing signs of hope as well as a new direction. The religious community has called for a day of prayer and reflection in an attempt to rededicate the country to the Lord.
I just talked with Pastor Jean and he reported businesses were closed and the people were praying in the streets, the marketplaces, homes, and churches. All week long the central church of Les Cayes has been in revival under the theme: "Let everything that has breath praise the Lord" Psalm 150:8. Most people feel if they are not among the dead, then they have to praise the Lord. I hope that this wind of spiritual upliftment will not be temporary but will continue for years to come.
I personally feel that I just missed a great service in Haiti, I saw in one of the major news network reports how the people were praying and worshiping God in a way that I never saw before. This is simply the beginning of greater things to come.
So let the transformation process begin, let God do His work, and let men finally realize that God will receive all the glory and all the praise,regardless of what the situation looks like.
